The YMCA of San Joaquin County stands as a beacon of youth development, embodying its role as the foremost organization committed to the enrichment of young lives in our region. Our enduring mission is to forge robust minds, character, and physiques for every young member of our community. We envision ourselves as the quintessential choice for motivating our youth to unlock their utmost potential.

Our efforts are anchored in four fundamental values: Respect, Honesty, Caring, and Responsibility. With a venerable legacy stretching beyond 170 years, our YMCA has continually evolved to meet the shifting demands of San Joaquin County's populace.

Through substantial grant funding, we proudly facilitate afterschool initiatives across more than 30 locations, alongside before-school programs within three Lodi Unified School District institutions. Our Youth Sports ventures and the Teen Leadership Collaborative are designed to ensure that the voices of our teens are amplified, fostering their role as change agents within the community.

The YMCA orchestrates three pivotal outreach events annually: Healthy Kids Day, Trunk Or Treat, and the Winter Bash, each one nurturing community spirit and wellness. Furthering our mission, we host two significant fundraisers — "209 Gives" in April and "Y Dads Matter" in June — to underwrite and expand our programs.

In a strategic decision to maximize our impact, the YMCA of San Joaquin County operates without a central recreational facility, maintaining only a headquarters. This approach allows us to allocate resources directly into programs and services that reach into the heart of the community, embodying our commitment to accessibility and inclusiveness.
