The 2017 Stockton Banana Fest International is scheduled for Saturday, August 18, 2017, thru August 20th from 10 am to 8 pm.

The Banana Festival is a great family-friendly cultural event. We celebrate the beautiful countries in the world where bananas grow, their eclectic cultures, ethnically diverse people and rhythmic music. All these facets put the “festive” in festival.

What We Do:

Our Food Vendors: We have delicious and exotic foods from the Caribbean, Central America, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Africa, the Pacific Rim and from virtually all countries in the world where bananas grow. Of course, we have all-American festival favorites too.

Our Entertainment: Our guests will enjoy the rhythmic Latin, Calypso, Caribbean, Soul, Blues and popular music that accompany high energy ethnic dancers. This year festival Bands will include:  On Air and Red Beans & Rice (Friday) Latin Touch, 2nd Storm and Velocity Circus (SaturdayDongato, Dread Daze and What the Funk on Sunday

Saturday we will also kick off a community parade which will consist of a variety of cultural groups, singers, drummers and the Velocity Circus. If you wish to present your business in the parade please let us know.

Additionally, the festival provides a variety of interesting artistic and cultural exhibits.  Also, we are happy to announce Johnston’s Carnival Rides will join the festivities. Their all day wrist bands are $30.00 and individual small rides average $1.00 medium rides $2.00 and large rides $3.00

There really is something for everyone at the festival. In fact, our festival has enjoyed so much popularity that our team provides technical support to other cities, such as Ventura, CA, that wish to replicate our successes

The festival is a catalyst for local non-profits to raise funds for their cause and to share important resources with our community. The festival celebrates art, culture, music, food, diversity, health and wellness and of course America’s #1 Fruit, the Banana!!!!!!

Health and Wellness is a huge part of our celebration, this year the festival will provide a variety of fun opportunities to benefit the mind, body, and soul.

Festival-goers will also be able to dance & sweat with Sunday morning community Salsa and benefit from a variety of community health resource vendors.  Festival-goers can also take advantage of vendors providing body massages and meditation techniques.   Two of our big attractions is the Smashed Chef Challenge and Banana Themed Fashion show sponsored and curated by Sacramento’s favorite Chef Richard Pannell.

Throughout the three days artist, youth and kids will have an opportunity to participate in the Banana Themed Chalk It Up. Chalk will be available for artist to create their own masterpiece...
