Fun stuff going on this week!


This Saturday is Children and Youth Day at Pixie Woods!  I'll be out there with Leslie, your Lodi publisher with a free kids craft table!  Admission is free on this day and there will be tons of activities for the kids to do and a parade!  There is also the Snow Leopards 20th Birthday Party at Micke Grove Zoo.

Sesame Street live is coming to the Stockton Arena on June 19th and 20th and I scored a Family 4-Pack of Tickets to GIVEAWAY to one of you lucky readers.  To enter leave a comment in the article HERE, and one winner will be chosen at 11pm on Sunday May 20th!  Good luck to all that enter and there more ticket giveaways to enter soon!

Thursday, May 17 - Intermediate Book Club at Maya Angelou Branch Library

On the third Thursday of each month, at 3:30, the Maya Angelou Branch will host the Children's Intermediate Book Club. Students will choose a new book each month and read it before the meeting. At each Book Club session, the group will discuss the featured book, share activities related to the book, and enjoy a light snack.

Saturday, May 19 - Bow Wow Meow at Lincoln Center

The American Cancer Society Discovery Shop invites you to attend Bow Wow Meow, an event featuring new and gently used pet accessories, unopened pet food and treats! This event will also feature pet (dog and cat) adoptions provided by the Animal Protection League, Pups Rescue and Animal Friends Connection, Delta Humane Society and Lab Rescue. Animal Friends Connection will also provide information regarding the therapy dog program. Muddy Paw, Lincoln Center’s pet grooming salon, will have a booth. Be sure to check it out for a chance to win a free grooming! Proceeds from the event benefit the American Cancer Society Discovery Shop, which helps fund cancer research, programs and services.

Black Holes and Californian Skies are the next public shows at the Clever Planetarium.Tickets are sold an hour before the show on a first-come first-served basis and may sell out.  For advanced tickets call Delta Center for the Arts Box Office at (209)954-5110.  Hours are Tues-Fri, 11am-6pm, Sat, 11am-3pm.  There is a $1.50 per ticket fee and a $3.00 Handling Fee on all on-line orders. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for children, students, and seniors.
